The writers comprising Playwrights West are professional playwrights, recognized by their peers, critics, and audiences as singular, distinctive voices in American theatre. Their accomplishments include:
Collectively, over 100 productions in cities such as: Boulder, Lawrence (KS), San Digeo, Phoenix, Salem, Portland, Tuscon, Eugene, Ashland, Vancouver, New York City, St. Paul, Los Angeles, Tampa, Chicago, Detroit, Seattle, Modesto, Sonora, and Austin (as well as plays in England, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, the Virgin Islands, and Singapore). The have won over 30 major awards and grants.

Experience running theatre companies such as: Pavement Productions, Stark Naked Productions, Open Circle Theatre, Could Know Theatre, Theatre Atlantis, Lincoln High School New Works Festival, and Stark Raving Theatre.
Teaching experience at: Pacific University, Portland Center Stage Greenhouse Program and Visions and Voices, Literary Arts WITS Program, Duke University, Willamette University, and UC-San Diego.
