May 2009: Playwrights West members-to-be begin informal talks on starting a theatre company dedicated to producing members new work.

Introducing... Playwrights West

July 2009: Playwrights West members' make official: a new Portland theatre company is born. Game on. Brainstorming begins.

October 2009: Playwrights West decides its first endeavor will be "Introducing... Playwrights West": a series of 10-minute plays members write to reflect their styles and approaches. The show is scheduled for Sunday, January 31, 2010, at CoHo Productions.

November 2009: Playwrights West chooses which member and play will be produced first. The public announcement will be made at "Introducing...Playwrights West" in January.

December 2009: Members deliver their plays and collectively read them. The result is a seriously good time.

January 2010: Playwrights West inaugral show "Introuducing...Playwrights West" plays to a terrifically received, sold-out house at Portland's CoHo Theatre. Summer events are in the works.

June 2010: Playwrights West presents "Wet Ink"...members new works in progress, at CoHo Theatre.
